Jointly Building of a Community of Shared Future for Medical Health

Fangchenggang city impressed the world on June 14, 2019 again.

H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, attended the 19th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and made a speech, saying “we support the initiative to set up an International Medical Opening-up Pilot Zone (China) in Fangchenggang to further promote medical innovation and cooperation within the SCO”.

Since then, Fangchenggang has a great opportunity to implement the national strategy, promote medical development and integrate into the construction of a community with shared future for mankind.

From May 26 to May 29, with the theme of Health, Cooperation, Innovation and Sharing, the International Medical Innovation and Cooperation Forum (China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization) was successfully held in Fangchenggang, Guangxi, China.

More than 800 people attended the Forum, including government officials in health departments, representatives of medical and scientific institutions, and entrepreneurs, coming from 21 countries and related organizations such as SCO member states and SCO Secretariat.

This forum set 5 sub-forums, including national health, disaster relief, disease prevention and control, medical services,and medical and nursing, and participants reached broad consensus.

With the help of non-governmental organizations, medical health has become more and more cohesive and humanistic.

Mr. Vladimir Norov, Secretary General of SCO, said that SCOis committed topromote cooperation in the medical field, promote the achievements of innovation,consolidate the health and livelihood of people in all countries.

Mr. PrashantSitaramLokhande, Commercial Counselor to Embassy of India in China, said thatwe strongly support the establishment of a dialogue mechanism aimed at further improving communication and exchanges between hospitals of member states, and look forward to continued participation and cooperation in the medical sector.

Ms. ShenYueyue, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress and the President of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, suggested that all parties should strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the field of medical and health care, enhance policy exchanges, promote the transformation of medical scientific and technological achievements, solve medical problems that exist among all countries, and finally make great contribution to the development of human health.

It proposes to set up an International MedicalOpening-up Pilot Zone(China)in Fangchenggang.

All participants are willing to take the initiative to participate in the construction of this pilot zone and share the win-win results of cooperation.
