Video 1: Detailed design of various disciplines

Revit software is used in this Project to build building, structure, electromechanics and site models for Lu An station buildings. The engineers of each discipline use BIM model for internal communication and high-efficient cooperation. 3D models of different disciplines are integrated in Navisworks software, and BIM visualization technology improves the communication efficiency between the construction unit and the designer and the Owner. At the early stage of construction, 28 problems of civil engineering drawings and 1,750 problems of electromechanical drawings were found, which reduced the amount of change orders effectively.

Video 2: Construction BIM application

Navisworks software is used for 4D virtual construction and analysis of key factors influencing construction period to optimize construction progress and save cost. Revit electromechanical models are built to optimize the design based on the principle of pipeline avoidance, to find pipeline collision in advance, to guide the hole reserving and pre-embedding of pipelines, to integrate the design of supports and hangers and to simulate pipeline construction procedures. 3ds Max is adopted to draw curtain wall, cornice and interior decoration effect pictures which are submitted to the Owner and the Designer to determine an optimum decoration scheme.

Video 3: BIM safety monitoring platform

All the new underpass exit, public road and overbrige are constructed crossing the running railway line, so there are high safety risks in construction. During underpass construction, data such as displacement and stress collected by the sensor are integrated into BIM safety platform in real time, which can double the monitoring efficiency or more and realize data analysis and intelligent grading warning, so as to facilitate the management personnel to take effective measures and ensure construction safety.

Video 4: Digital processing and material management by two-dimensional codes

BIM software is used for the detailed design of steel structure, and the two-dimensional processing drawing is generated with a 3D model. The nesting layout plug-in of SmartNest software is imported to generate code G for digital processing & manufacture, which can improve the layout efficiency by 280% and reduce material consumption by 1.8%. The two-dimensional code management system integrates modern technological means such as BIM, informatization, Internet of Things and big data analysis to realize the information management of the whole process including raw material procurement, warehousing, shipment, logistics tracking, receiving and construction acceptance of overbridge steel structures, which can increase the accuracy by 70% and work efficiency by 50%.

Video 5: BIM + new technology application

By combining the BIM model with VR technology, all parties of the Project can browse the model in an immersive way to assist scheme comparison and selection and to improve the building quality effectively at the detailed design stage of electromechanics, curtain wall and decoration. AR technology is used to establish a corresponding relationship between the BIM models and the drawings, then the constructors can see the corresponding 3D models by scanning the drawings. BIM model is imported to oblique photography model of the unmanned aerial vehicle to simulate actual status of the site, which is applied to access routing, temporary building planning, dimensional measurement, etc. Bearing supports passing the checking calculation in SAP2000 software can be imported into Tekla software directly to generate a same model and support detailed design and drawing processing through the secondary development data interface; thereby repeated modeling can be avoided effectively.
